Access-control note. This signs you in as the owner: full access, no expiry, and no key consumed — so you can use and demo your own software without spending a key you could have sold. Because it runs in the browser, anyone who views the page source can read these credentials. That is true of any credential shipped inside a page, and no length of password changes it. Treat this as a convenience, not as security; for genuinely protected access, put the app behind a real server login.

The User ID, passkey, settings and journal live in this browser on this device — nothing syncs, and clearing site data deletes them, so use the backup export. Whether your subscription is paid for is checked with the payment provider, which is why cancelling closes the desk and renewing reopens it with your journal intact.
